Ark of Covenant

I seek only to see Your face, to hear Your voice.
You hear my prayers every night:
You know the pain my flesh endures;
And the sorrow in my soul for the wounded.
You know of my past, present, and the trials in my future.
Lost, I wander, yet You guide me towards the unknown,
For You know my path.

Amidst earthly life, I witness Your deeds,
Thankful for glimpses of Your presence,
Though unresoluted, my heart yearns for You,
Like a parched soul longs for rain amidst scorching sands, I seek to see You on earth.

I know You'll comfort the wounded spirit,
Ease my troubled heart from others' hurtful words,
You'll make me forget, help me let go.

You know me better than I know myself,
The things I've not yet done, You're aware.
You know my selfishness, my weakness, my deceit,
Where I hide, it's all known to You,
Nowhere to escape in Your presence.
In prosperity, I receive Your blessings;
In adversity, You provide all I need.
I have my thoughts, my preferred solution;
Yet, You diverge from my thinking,
Your answers are what I truly need.
Grant me a humble heart,
To willingly surrender before You,
To walk the right path even in the darkest times and places, without rebellion.

You said You chose me even in my mother's womb,
Blessed me to bless others.
Your works are marvellous, I know that full well.
You enable my hands for skilled work;
You make me a graceful deer, a peacemaker among my kind.
Please, fulfil the promises You've spoken:
A heart like Daniel's, vigilant in difficult times, unwavering;
A heart like David's, courageous warrior, yet comforting to the wounded.

Surely your goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
For You are Jehovah-jireh, You provide,
By relying on You, I shall not lack.
